Walter was a kind of mystery man. A mystery man with a smile that could melt glass and the most beautiful dimples I’ve ever seen on a man. He was soft spoken, shy, and usually came by himself and sat at the counter. We knew he was from somewhere in the South, and he shared stories about wanting go home to sit in ice cold duck blinds and hunt ducks with his Dad. He had the American good looks of actors like Gary Cooper and Harrison Ford. He did a lot of work in commercials, so it was a great surprise to see this picture of him in an ad in a magazine. I immediately tore it out and excitedly presented it to him for a signature, so we could add him to the Wall. I thought it was pretty funny that the ad was for Viagra and he signed the photo with his nickname,”Woody.”
