Sometimes an actor and the character he portrays become one and the same. This is certainly true for David L. Lander and “Squiggy.”   Although he is widely known as Squiggy, his credits on IMDB go on for pages.  We knew Lander because he was the son-in-law of our favorite Coffee Shop regular, Edith Fellows. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1984, he didn’t go public with the information until 1999.  This information did not end his career, as he had feared. In November, 2000 he was named Ambassador of the Year for the national MS Society. In 2002 he wrote his autobiography Fall Down Laughing: How Squiggy Caught Multiple Sclerosis and Didn’t Tell Nobody . He later became a baseball scout, and he continues to add  credits to his IMDB list.
