I wish I could say that I knew from reading the script, that the movie Swingers would become a film with “cult” status, but I can’t. However, I did know, after watching the first screening at the old Fairfax Theatre, before the film got financing and polishing and its iconic music, that it was laugh-out-loud funny and captured that Hollywood moment in time perfectly.

The meteoric rise of star Vince Vaughn can easily be seen taking its toll, when you compare these two photographs. This charismatic actor showed his sweet midwestern roots when he got his first magazine cover and he drove from one newsstand to another trying to find a copy, that he could sign for the wall.
