Just received some new photos of Madame Etienne and Brent Wilday which were taken at the restaurant. I’m not positive, but I think they may have just been at the Hollywood Bowl for Easter Sunrise services.

I seem to have reached the bottom of the box…so no more postings..until I find something else to post.  It’s been a fun ride!

Warner Bros. artist Kirk Mueller was a frequent customer of the Coffee Shop and actually lived in the Hotel for awhile. He became a personal friend of Michael’s and dated his sister (which is another story for another time). He was as zany as the Looney Tunes characters he so ably drew, especially his alter ego, Bugs Bunny.

The Beetlejuice character created by Michael Keaton that always reminded me of Kirk.
Not to be confused with Sir John Herschel, the astronomer, who first described variations in the brightness of the star Betelgeuse.
A drawing of Michael, me, Rene, and Molly by Kirk.

There is no year on this invitation because Hadda Brooks, the Queen of Boogie Woogie, who passed away in 2002, is timeless.

Still performing at 85!

This is NOT the view from the Coffee Shop, because the Coffee Shop didn’t have a view. This is the view from my house when I lived in the Hollywood Hills.
